MITF#52: #talkingphotography s Paolo Paredes

V Ekvadorju obstaja približno 200 ustanov, kjer “zdravijo” homoseksualne moške, ženske in transeksualke_ce.

Paolo Paredes je podcast Maribor Is The Future v studiu Radia YoureUp v GT22 gostil 18. junija 2018, ko je v Mariboru predstavljala svojo retrospektivo.

In Ecuador approximately 200 facilities exist to “cure” homosexual men, women and transsexuals. The majority of these centres remain open because they are disguised as treatment facilities for alcoholics and drug addicts. Imprisoned against their will, those interned are subject to emotional and physical torture, through force-feeding, beatings and corrective rape. The photographer Paola Paredes interviewed the victims and depicted the suffering they underwent there. She used theatrical methods and incorporated her own emotions, thus allowing us to see in the project Until you change, what was never meant to be seen.

Maribor Is The Future hosted Paola Paredes in the studio of Youreup Radio in GT22, when she was presenting her retrospective in Maribor on June 18th, 2018.
