Radio Marneuli presents music genre mugham.

Radio Marneuli was founded in 2007 by BBC World Service Trust project with the cooperation of local partner Association Studio RE. The radio renewed its broadcasting via internet in 2015 with the support of British Training Center cooperating with Studio RE and received its initial financial support from the British Embassy in Georgia. In 2016, the radio obtained its official FM broadcasting license and launched in September, 2017 of the same year. Currently, 4 journalists research and generate local and national news topics in Georgian and Azerbaijani languages, 3 translators translate content into Armenian and Azerbaijani, while 12 volunteers produce programming, multimedia, storytelling based on their own personal interests and passions.

Radio Marneuli aspires to be an independent news source for the citizens of Marneuli, many of who do not understand the state language. This language barrier limits the Marneuli community’s access to information.
